Industrial Refrigration Engineer

Kochen Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to join its manufacturing facility located in Raiwind, Lahore. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of PKR 200,000 to 250,000 per month. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and brings at least three years of hands-on experience with industrial refrigeration and cold storage systems. The role involves managing, operating, maintaining, and optimizing complex industrial refrigeration equipment, ensuring efficient and dependable operation critical for the manufacturing and cold storage processes. Experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults in refrigeration systems, complemented by strong technical knowledge of compressors, condensers, evaporators, chillers, and related controls, is essential for success in this role. The Industrial Refrigeration Engineer is responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, monitoring system performance indicators such as temperature, pressure, and energy use, and implementing strategies to enhance energy efficiency. Although this position does not involve formal team management, the engineer will work closely with refrigeration technicians, guiding them during daily operations and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety compliance and maintain detailed maintenance records while coordinating effectively with vendors, contractors, and maintenance teams to uphold operational excellence and reliability within the facility.
Responsibilities

Manage, operate, and supervise industrial refrigeration and cold storage systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, chillers, and cooling units.
Ensure uninterrupted and efficient operation of refrigeration equipment to maintain optimal temperature control in manufacturing and storage areas.
Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
Monitor refrigeration system performance metrics, including temperature, pressure, energy consumption, and overall operational efficiency.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system faults promptly to prevent disruptions.
Collaborate with maintenance teams, contractors, and vendors to coordinate technical repairs and upgrade projects.
Maintain accurate records and logs of maintenance activities, system performance, breakdowns, and spare parts inventory.
Adhere to safety standards and operational protocols to promote a safe working environment.
Identify opportunities to optimize energy consumption and implement energy management strategies to improve refrigeration system efficiency.
Provide technical guidance and support to refrigeration technicians during maintenance and operational tasks.
Conduct regular inspections and tests to verify system integrity and compliance with operational requirements.
Assist in the installation, commissioning, and calibration of new refrigeration equipment and controls.
