Cashier

Last Exit Restaurant is seeking a responsible and honest Cashier with a minimum of three years of relevant experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong proficiency in cash handling, operates Point of Sale (POS) systems with ease, and possesses foundational computer and accounting skills. This role requires a professional individual who is punctual, customer-focused, and able to communicate effectively with patrons and staff. The position does not involve managing a team but plays a crucial role in contributing to the smooth daily operations of the restaurant. As a Cashier at Last Exit Restaurant, you will be the first point of contact for our customers during the payment process. You ensure transactions are accurate, maintain balanced cash drawers, and uphold excellent customer service standards. Your responsible handling of financial transactions and friendly interaction with customers enhance their overall dining experience. Attention to detail, integrity, and adherence to company policies are essential to perform your duties successfully in this fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities

Manage all cash register transactions accurately and efficiently.
Operate the POS system to process customer payments, including cash, credit, and digital payments.
Maintain balanced cash drawers and prepare daily cash reports.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving payment issues politely and promptly.
Verify the accuracy of pricing, discounts, and special offers during transactions.
Assist in basic accounting functions such as record-keeping and reporting.
Support inventory management by notifying supervisors of stock shortages or discrepancies related to the cash register.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to cash handling and customer service.
Maintain a neat and professional appearance and work area.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
Identify and report any suspicious or fraudulent activity to management immediately.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards.
