The Washer is responsible for operating commercial washing machines to effectively clean and sanitize hospital linens, ensuring a hygienic environment that supports patient care and safety. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor commercial washing machines to clean hospital linens according to established procedures.
- Ensure all linens are sanitized thoroughly to meet hospital hygiene standards.
- Sort and prepare linens for washing, separating items based on fabric type and level of contamination.
- Inspect linens before and after washing to identify any damage or stains that require special treatment.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of washing equipment by performing routine checks and reporting any malfunctions.
- Follow safety guidelines and infection control protocols to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and laundry staff to manage workflow efficiently and meet daily operational targets.
- Dispose of waste and soiled materials in accordance with hospital policies and environmental regulations.

Required Qualifications
- Previous experience operating commercial or industrial washing machines is preferred.
