The Accountant supports the financial health of Leavalley Sports by overseeing daily accounting functions and contributing to efficient financial operations. Responsibilities
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate general ledger entries and ensure proper documentation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS guidelines.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including the timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Execute journal entry management, ensuring correctness, timely posting, and proper approvals.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, prepare required documents, and coordinate with tax authorities as necessary.
- Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle Financials to record, track, and report financial transactions effectively.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather financial data and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, enhance accuracy, and increase efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support internal and external audit activities.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to accounting policies and procedures to maintain internal controls.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely completion of financial reports.
