LNA Construction seeks a highly skilled HSE Management Engineer with 8 years of professional experience in Health, Safety, and Environment engineering. This role requires a deep understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance, supported by strong educational credentials including a Masters degree in Safety Health Environment and a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from UET Lahore, alongside a NEBOSH IGC Level 3 certification. The candidate will lead a team of 5 professionals, driving initiatives to reduce workplace hazards and ensure adherence to industry safety standards. The successful candidate takes ownership of managing safety processes, risk assessments, and safety instrumented systems, ensuring the company maintains a strong safety culture and complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs and procedures tailored to construction projects at LNA Construction. Conduct detailed risk assessments and failure analysis using established methodologies such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Event Tree Analysis (ETA), and Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) to identify potential hazards and design controls to mitigate risks effectively.
Lead the planning and execution of Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Root Cause Analysis, and 5 Whys Methodology investigations to promptly identify and eliminate the root causes of incidents and near misses. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all safety standards align with process safety management and regulatory compliance. Oversee Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) management to guarantee reliable operation of critical safety mechanisms.
Manage and mentor a team of five safety engineers and specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Provide on-site supervision and guidance to ensure safe working practices and compliance with safety protocols are maintained. Stay current with legislative changes, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the organizations HSE performance.
Collaborate with project managers and contractors to integrate safety considerations into project designs and schedules. Prepare comprehensive safety reports, documentation, and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies to ensure transparency and accountability. Deliver training sessions and awareness programs to all levels of staff to promote a proactive approach to safety and environmental stewardship.
