We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Locum Consultant Radiation Oncologist to join our team and support the site-specialist consultant-led oncology services. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing and expanding the Radiation Oncology services at the hospital. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing site-specific expertise to strengthen clinical care, administrative functions, teaching, and research activities within the department. Collaboration with established multidisciplinary teams is essential to provide comprehensive cancer care and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert Radiation Oncology clinical care and management for cancer patients.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary site-specialist teams to ensure integrated patient care.
- Contribute to the development and strengthening of Radiation Oncology services at the hospital.
- Participate actively in administrative duties related to service delivery and quality improvement.
- Engage in teaching activities, providing education and training to junior staff and trainees.
- Support and contribute to research initiatives within the Radiation Oncology department.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of an acceptable postgraduate qualification such as FRCR (UK) with CCST in Radiation Oncology or the American Boards in Radiation Oncology.
- Demonstrated relevant experience in Radiation Oncology clinical practice.
- Full registration with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Competent computer skills to support clinical documentation and communication.
