JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Program Officer in Mardan and in close collaboration with the Logistic Officer based in Islamabad, the Logistic Assistant is responsible for offering logistic support to the Mardan Office, handling logistics activities such as purchasing, maintenance, warehousing, fleet management, rehabilitation and construction, communication, water and sanitation, and energy supply.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Hierarchical Link: Program Officer – Mardan, KP
Functional Link: Logistic Officer based in Islamabad
Other: Close collaboration with other team members of the program, HR, Finance, and Security.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and supervise the driver (information, setting objectives, manage leave, recruitment, discipline, security, training, skills management). Advise on arbitration and supporting measures to take in the event of difficulties, malfunctions, and/or incidents.
- Promote a collaborative, respectful, and accountable team environment.
- Support the Program Officer in managing the base vehicles' routes and drivers' schedules based on activities planning.
- Support the management of the transport of goods and people to the mission.
- Provide support in monitoring the vehicle fleet, maintenance, and fuel consumption.
- Support the Program Officer in supervising the maintenance of assets, equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
- Support the Program Officer in supervising minor renovations, carrying out installation and maintenance of organization premises, and managing energy and water supply.
- Support the Program Officer in asset and inventory management.
- Support the Program Officer and Logistic Officer in processing local purchases, visiting local suppliers, and collecting quotations based on the needs and activities in compliance with organization policy and donors' procedures.
- Support the monitoring of IT equipment, maintenance, and communication equipment.
- Support the Program Officer in analyzing the security environment, updating risk assessment matrices, and writing security reports if needed.
- Support the Program Officer in writing monthly reports and in archiving.

CONDITIONS OF THE JOB:
Position based in Mardan. Regular field visits in selected Health Facilities, areas of intervention, and other regions in the country for support and training if required.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's in management science or a technical diploma in mechanical/electrical sciences or related field is required.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics management.
- Previous experience of working in the NGO sector, especially INGO.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel as required by the program.

- Logistics Management Competencies: Ability to understand and apply the basic logistics procedures, like purchasing, supplier evaluation, stock management, inventory management, fleet management, and asset management.
