Farm Manager

The Farm Manager will be responsible for the daily operations, management, and performance of Mahmood Sons Poultry farms (Layer Caged System). The role requires expertise in poultry farm management, biosecurity implementation, bird health monitoring, production optimization, feed and water management, staff supervision, and adherence to company operational protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Farm Operations Management
- Ensure the day-to-day smooth functioning of poultry farm operations.
- Manage bird health, welfare, and environment according to industry best practices.
- Maintain optimal feed and water intake standards.
- Monitor environmental parameters (temperature, humidity, ventilation, light).
Bird Health & Production
- Monitor flock health daily and report abnormalities immediately.
- Implement vaccination schedules and health programs.
- Achieve and maintain production targets (Hen-Day% % production, egg weight, feed conversion).
- Oversee mortality, culling, and flock performance data analysis.
Biosecurity & Farm Hygiene
- Implement strict biosecurity measures.
- Supervise cleaning, disinfection, and visitor control protocols.
- Ensure compliance with farm biosecurity SOPs.
Team Management
- Lead, train, and supervise farm staff.
- Assign tasks and ensure accountability.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of team members.
Data Recording & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of feed intake, production, mortality, vaccination, and medication.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly farm performance reports for management.
Resource Management
- Coordinate feed, medication, vaccine, and farm supplies stock management.
- Monitor utilities usage (electricity, gas, water) efficiently.
Compliance and Audits
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audits.
- Prepare farm for health inspections and regulatory visits.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Achievement of target Hen-Day production (%)
Mortality and culling rates within standard limits
FCR (Feed Conversion Ratio) optimization
Biosecurity breach incidents (Zero Tolerance)
Staff training completion and adherence
Timeliness and accuracy of reporting

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Sciences, or related field.
Diploma holders with exceptional experience may also be considered.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years' experience managing a commercial poultry farm (preferably in layers, cage system).
Hands-on experience with large-scale bird population management (e.g., >50,000 birds).
Familiarity with automated layer houses is an advantage.
