McMaster Supply Group is seeking a dedicated Purchase & Logistics Support Executive to oversee and streamline the procurement and logistics functions within the organization. The ideal candidate will utilize their expertise in supply chain management, vendor coordination, and inventory control to ensure smooth and efficient purchasing and delivery operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain compliance with regulatory standards. The executive will extensively engage in purchase order processing, vendor negotiations, and shipment tracking, supporting the companys supply chain integrity and operational excellence. This role does not involve managing a team but demands a self-motivated professional capable of working independently, often during evening or night shifts. Ideal candidates should have a minimum of two years of relevant experience, particularly in communication-intensive environments such as call centers, IT support, customer service, procurement, or logistics. Strong communication abilities, both written and spoken, are essential for effective coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders. Punctuality, reliability, and commitment to long-term employment are critical traits for success in this position.
Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end purchase order process, ensuring timely and accurate procurement of goods and services.
  • Coordinate logistics activities, including shipment tracking and inventory management, to maintain supply chain efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiating terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to meet company requirements.
  • Utilize ERP and supply chain management software such as SAP SCM and Oracle SCM Cloud for data analysis and transaction processing.
  • Conduct regular inventory control activities to monitor stock levels, prevent shortages, and reduce excess inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal company policies related to purchasing and logistics operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address supply chain challenges and improve operational workflows.
  • Prepare and analyze reports related to purchasing, vendor performance, and inventory using advanced Excel data analysis techniques.
  • Support the resolution of procurement and logistics issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation for audit purposes and continuous process improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to provide updates and resolve queries related to procurement and shipments.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills to handle workload independently during evening or night shifts.
  • Adhere to a high standard of punctuality, reliability, and professionalism to support long-term organizational goals.
