The purpose of the Medical Officer is to provide high-quality medical care, diagnosis, and treatment to patients, promoting health and well-being while offering clinical leadership and guidance to staff, patients, and team members. This role ensures comprehensive and compassionate healthcare services, assists in administrative tasks, participates in communication and education of staff and patients, complies with regulatory standards, and engages in peer review and performance evaluations.


Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed clinical assessments to evaluate patient health status and determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Diagnose medical conditions accurately using clinical skills and diagnostic tools.
  • Manage emergency medicine cases promptly and effectively to stabilize patients.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in compliance with clinical guidelines and patient needs.
  • Coordinate patient care activities, including referrals, follow-ups, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date medical documentation using electronic medical records (EMR) and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Lead and manage a team of seven healthcare personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance supervision.
  • Implement EHR system practices and support healthcare data interoperability to improve clinical workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and institutional policies.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired health outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and care instructions.
  • Participate in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in medical practices and healthcare technology.
  • Collaborate with healthcare facility management to improve service delivery and patient satisfaction.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and infection control measures within the clinical setting.
  • Respond to urgent patient care needs and participate in emergency response protocols.
