The AV & Multimedia Officer is responsible for the planning, production, editing, management, and archiving of multimedia content that supports the communication objectives of the Polio Eradication Programme in Sindh. The role is responsible for generating high-quality visual content that documents programme implementation, highlights campaign achievements, supports digital engagement, captures human-interest stories, and contributes to advocacy, visibility, and community engagement efforts. The position serves as the programme's primary visual storyteller and content producer.
Key Responsibilities
1. Multimedia Content Production:
- Capture high-quality photography and videography during programme activities.
- Document vaccination campaigns, trainings, field activities, stakeholder engagements, community mobilisation efforts, and special events.
- Conduct interviews and record testimonials with caregivers, community members, frontline workers, government officials, and other stakeholders.
- Produce short-form and long-form video content.
- Produce public service announcements (PSAs).
- Develop reels and platform-specific video content.
- Edit and package visual content for digital and communication use.
2. Audio Visual Planning and Creative Development:
- Develop multimedia concepts aligned with programme priorities.
- Prepare storyboards and visual treatment plans for communication products.
- Support development of creative concepts for campaigns and communication activities.
- Translate communication objectives and key messages provided by the Provincial Communication Officer into engaging visual products.
- Draft scripts, storyboard concepts, and interview guides for review and approval.
- Revise products based on feedback before final approval.
3. Field Documentation and Storytelling:
- Identify opportunities for visual storytelling during field visits.
- Capture programme implementation across districts.
- Document frontline workers, caregivers, and communities.
- Develop visual narratives that highlight programme impact.
- Collect materials required for human-interest stories and success stories.
- Support documentation of activities in hard-to-reach, underserved, and high-risk areas when required.
4. Digital Multimedia Content:
- Produce video-based content for Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, X, and other approved platforms.
- Adapt content into multiple formats suitable for different digital channels.
- Create motion graphics, short videos, and multimedia assets where required.
- Prepare subtitled content in English, Urdu, and Sindhi where needed.
- Optimise multimedia products for digital engagement and audience consumption.
5. Campaign Communication Support:
- Pre-Campaign:
- Develop visual documentation plans.
- Record stakeholder messages and PSAs.
- Prepare multimedia assets supporting campaign communication activities.
- Identify priority locations, stories, and stakeholders for documentation.
- During Campaign:
- Capture campaign implementation activities.
- Document vaccination teams and community engagement activities.
- Document leadership visits, training, and stakeholder engagements.
- Collect high-quality original visual content from the field.
- Post-Campaign:
- Edit campaign videos and multimedia products.
- Produce campaign documentation packages.
- Organize campaign footage and photography.
- Archive all approved campaign assets.
- Identify strong stories and reusable communication products.
6. Archive and Asset Management:
- Maintain organized archives of photographs, videos, and multimedia products.
- Ensure all assets are properly categorized, labeled, and accessible.
- Maintain records of completed assignments and final deliverables.
- Ensure secure storage and backup of multimedia content.
- Maintain an updated repository of campaign documentation materials.
7. Coordination and Collaboration:
- Coordinate with communication, programme, and field teams to identify documentation opportunities.
- Participate in communication planning discussions.
- Support district teams in documenting priority activities.
- Coordinate multimedia requirements with relevant programme personnel.
- Share completed assets in accordance with agreed workflows and timelines.
8. Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all products comply with programme branding guidelines.
- Ensure technical quality of photography, videography, sound, and editing.
- Ensure products align with approved communication priorities and key messages.
- Incorporate feedback received during review processes.
- Maintain professional standards in all multimedia outputs.
Required Qualification:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as film, visual communication, journalism, media studies, or a related discipline.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in multimedia production, videography, photography, editing, visual storytelling, or related communications work is required.
