Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive internal audits to assess branch operational efficiency and the adequacy of controls.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, and potential compliance violations within the branch.
  • Prepare clear, detailed audit reports that summarize findings, outline associated risks, and provide recommendations for management action.
  • Evaluate branch compliance with company policies, regulatory frameworks, and financial management standards.
  • Work collaboratively with branch personnel to clarify audit findings and advise on implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations to enhance operational effectiveness and strengthen control mechanisms.
  • Stay informed about current internal audit methodologies, relevant laws, and regulations affecting the microfinance sector.
  • Assist in the formulation and scheduling of audit plans based on the banks risk management priorities.
  • Contribute to the internal audit team by sharing knowledge and aiding in the continuous refinement of audit techniques.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality and integrity of all audit documentation and communications.
