NRSP Microfinance Bank Limited is seeking dedicated Operations Officers / Tellers to join its dynamic team. This role involves handling daily banking transactions, maintaining strict compliance with internal policies, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail and is experienced in cash handling, transaction processing, and financial reporting. This position requires the ability to work accurately under pressure, ensuring that all operations align with regulatory guidelines and internal standards. While this role does not involve managing a team, it contributes significantly to the smooth workflow and operational success of the branch. The Operations Officer / Teller plays a vital role in supporting banking functions, assisting during peak times to facilitate efficient transaction processing and supporting the Teller when necessary. The role demands precise handling of cash and collateral documents as a joint custodian to maintain security and accuracy. Additionally, the position requires proficiency in communication and in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to prepare operational reports and presentations. The candidate is responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing financial documentation, and ensuring all customer account operations meet regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities

  • Ensure strict compliance with all internal policies and operational regulations of the bank to maintain integrity and security.
  • Provide support to the Teller during peak periods or when additional assistance is needed to ensure smooth and timely transaction processing.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service to guarantee client satisfaction and foster positive experiences.
  • Accurately process payments to vendors following instructions from the Operations Manager to maintain operational effectiveness.
  • Serve as a joint custodian for cash and collateral documents, ensuring their security and proper handling at all times.
  • Develop and submit timely, accurate operational reports to Regional and Head Office in compliance with established procedures.
  • Review and sign daily operational vouchers and branch records to confirm their accuracy, completeness, and compliance with bank policies.
  • Open new customer accounts in accordance with regulatory requirements and bank policies, ensuring all documentation and formalities are properly completed.
  • Maintain an organized, up-to-date record system for valuable items such as cheque blankets and debit cards to prevent loss or misplacement.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal forms when liaising with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint effectively to prepare reports, presentations, and analyze operational data to support decision-making.
  • Perform additional operational tasks assigned by management to support branch functions, improve processes, and uphold service standards.
