Key Responsibilities
- Assist ophthalmologists and optometrists during patient examinations to ensure smooth and efficient clinical procedures.
- Perform routine ophthalmic tests and assessments accurately to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Operate and maintain ophthalmic diagnostic equipment, ensuring all devices are functioning properly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and examination reports to support clinical decision-making.
- Prepare patients for eye examinations and procedures, providing clear instructions and reassurance.
- Ensure proper handling, cleanliness, and maintenance of ophthalmic instruments to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
- Support the clinical team in delivering quality eye care services, contributing to a positive patient experience.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Ophthalmic Technology or an equivalent qualification.
- Basic computer skills to manage patient records and assist with clinical documentation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a clinical team in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
