Ophthalmic Technician

Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre (MALC) is looking for a dedicated and skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join its Eye Department in Karachi. The ideal candidate will assist ophthalmologists and optometrists during patient examinations, perform routine eye tests, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality eye care services. Key Responsibilities
- Assist ophthalmologists and optometrists during patient examinations to ensure smooth and efficient clinical procedures.
- Perform routine ophthalmic tests and assessments accurately to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Operate and maintain ophthalmic diagnostic equipment, ensuring all devices are functioning properly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and examination reports to support clinical decision-making.
- Prepare patients for eye examinations and procedures, providing clear instructions and reassurance.
- Ensure proper handling, cleanliness, and maintenance of ophthalmic instruments to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
- Support the clinical team in delivering quality eye care services, contributing to a positive patient experience.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Ophthalmic Technology or an equivalent qualification.
- Basic computer skills to manage patient records and assist with clinical documentation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a clinical team in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
