The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for coordinating quality control activities, including material sampling, laboratory testing, reviewing inspection and test plans, method statements, and conducting site inspections to generate comprehensive reports. The position requires the identification and management of non-conformities through corrective and preventive actions. The supervisor maintains quality documentation, supports internal audits, and enforces compliance with building codes, project standards, and ISO 9001 quality management systems. An organized and detail-oriented approach is essential to support project quality plans and ensure successful final handover inspections. This role does not require team management but demands a proactive individual who can work effectively with multiple stakeholders to uphold construction quality standards.
Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage all quality control activities at assigned construction sites to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Inspect construction materials including cement, concrete, steel, aggregates, and asphalt to verify compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure that construction processes and workmanship align with approved drawings, contract specifications, and method statements.
  • Monitor key construction operations such as concrete pouring, reinforcement installation, masonry, plastering, and finishing to maintain quality control.
  • Coordinate material sampling and oversee laboratory tests, including concrete slump and compressive strength tests, to verify material integrity.
  • Review and comprehend Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and detailed checklists to guide quality inspections.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed reports documenting inspection findings and progress toward quality objectives.
  • Identify non-conformities, generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up with corrective and preventive measures to resolve issues.
  • Liaise with consultants, clients, site engineers, and third-party testing laboratories to facilitate smooth communication and quality assurance.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date quality records, including inspection requests, test reports, material approval certificates, and other documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, project-specific requirements, and ISO 9001 quality management procedures to uphold quality standards.
  • Assist in conducting internal quality audits and support the development and implementation of project quality plans.
  • Participate in final handover inspections to verify that all quality-related aspects meet the required standards before project completion.
