1. Project Planning, Implementation, and Management: • Oversee the planning, implementation, and management of the UNHCR-Livelihoods Improvement and Vocational Education (LIVE) project in designated districts (Peshawar, Mardan, Malakand, Buner). • Ensure the alignment of project activities with project documents, objectives, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). • Develop and execute monthly work plans, ensuring activities are carried out effectively and within the specified timeframes.
2. Stakeholder Coordination: • Establish and maintain close liaison with District Administration for Afghan Refugees, TVETA, and STVET to ensure smooth project execution. • Organize and facilitate project orientation sessions for key stakeholders including CAMP Shura, TVCS, TVETA, STVET, and local Afghan refugees.
3. Monitoring and Reporting: • Compile, analyze, and share Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) data, contributing to monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. • Review reports to ensure accurate representation of project progress and outcomes. • Review financial management and budget utilization related to project activities.
4. Community Engagement and Mobilization: • Initiate contact with local communities and Afghan refugees to introduce the project. • Mobilize and build the capacity of the target community through awareness-raising sessions and training. 5. Capacity Building and Training: • Provide capacity-building sessions to provincial-level staff, IPs, and community leaders on protection principles, mainstreaming, GBV, CP, safe referral pathways, and more.
6. Field Visits and Supervision: • Conduct regular field visits to different districts, refugee camps, and Government Technical & Vocational Centers (GTVCs) to monitor service delivery, assess progress, and identify gaps. • Supervise provincial-level protection staff, ensuring attendance and performance are in line with expectations. 7. Data Management: • Verify and ensure accurate and confidential data collection by field protection staff and IPs, entering relevant information into databases and IM systems.
8. Coordination and Networking: • Coordinate and liaise with relevant provincial authorities, UN agencies, and partners through provincial-level Working Groups. • Maintain positive relations with service providers and ensure timely information dissemination about IOM\'s protection program.
9. Referral and Urgent Services: • Act as the Protection Focal Point for conducting referrals at the provincial level and following up on urgent service provision for at-risk individuals.
10. Documentation and Reporting: • Maintain comprehensive documentation and records of all project activities and interactions with stakeholders. • Assist in preparing and submitting weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports on project progress, challenges, and accomplishments.
11. Capacity Strengthening: • Continuously strengthen the capacities of staff and IPs through coaching, mentoring, technical guidance, and training.
12. Ad Hoc Tasks: • Assist the Humanitarian, Resilience and Recovery Division (HRRD) and Protection Unit with specialized tasks and activities as needed.
1. Community Engagement and Initial Contact: • Establish the initial contact with the target community to introduce the project\'s objectives and benefits. • Collect baseline information about the target community and geographical area.
2. Community Mapping and Surveys: • Conduct community mapping and social surveys as needed or as directed by management. • Gather essential data to understand the community\'s dynamics, needs, and resources.
3. Stakeholder Identification and Engagement: • Identify and compile a list of community leaders, NGOs, DPOs, influencers, and activists. • Establish connections with leaders, influencers, and organizations to build a network of support.
4. Community Awareness and Mobilization: • Reach out to diverse groups within the community, including mobile populations, urban slums, different ethnic and religious groups, and out-of-school children up to 15 years old. • Raise awareness about the project\'s goals and refer individuals to relevant vaccination centers.
5. Community Leadership Advocacy: • Motivate and encourage potential community leaders to advocate for and champion the project within their communities. • Ensure maximum coverage and participation in vaccination campaigns.
6. Coordination and Liaison: • Collaborate closely with donor\'s EPI cells, Government vaccination teams, and other stakeholders in each Union Council. • Coordinate efforts and share information to optimize project outcomes.
7. Social Mobilization Strategy: • Engage with community networks and plan/implement outreach activities in schools, public spaces, markets, religious centers, clinics, and other relevant locations. • Raise awareness and create demand for Typhoid vaccinations before and during the campaign.
8. Strategic Support and Documentation: • Assist the strategic project team in brainstorming awareness-raising and outreach strategies. • Document all project activities, including strategies, outcomes, and lessons learned.
9. Front-Line Community Contact: • Serve as the main point of contact for the community, providing comprehensive support to all relevant teams for the project\'s smooth execution.
10. Target Achievement and Contingency Planning: • Ensure the achievement of all project targets and develop contingency plans to address any potential shortfalls.
11. Record Keeping and Case Studies: • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities at the office level. • Identify compelling case studies within the community for documentation purposes
