Polymer Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional with a strong background in polymer engineering or related fields to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in the manufacturing of PVC, uPVC, or HDPE pipes, particularly in extrusion or injection molding processes. This role involves managing various aspects of production including raw material formulation, process control, quality troubleshooting, and improving production flow. The position requires effective communication with entrepreneurs and stakeholders, as well as the ability to provide technical support and capacity building to small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and optimize the extrusion or injection manufacturing process for PVC, uPVC, and HDPE pipes, ensuring efficient raw-material formulation, mixing, and process control.
- Oversee critical production parameters such as dust and temperature control, cooling, cutting, and socketing operations.
- Implement strategies to reduce scrap and rework, enhancing overall production efficiency and product quality.
- Conduct quality troubleshooting to identify and resolve manufacturing issues promptly.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining production flow and increasing operational effectiveness.
- Provide practical technical assistance to MSMEs, including conducting enterprise diagnostics and developing actionable plans.
- Deliver on-site coaching and capacity-building sessions to empower local entrepreneurs and manufacturing teams.
- Maintain clear and thorough documentation of processes, findings, and recommendations.
- Travel regularly to Thatta, Sujawal, Badin, Tharparkar, and Larkana to engage directly with clients and manufacturing sites.
- Communicate effectively in Urdu with entrepreneurs; proficiency in Sindhi is preferred to facilitate better local engagement.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ practical experience in PVC/uPVC/HDPE pipe manufacturing or plastic extrusion/injection molding.
- Proven expertise in raw-material formulation, extrusion process control, and quality troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the designated regions.
- Fluency in Urdu for effective communication with local entrepreneurs.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
