PHP Developer

The Population Center Pakistan (PCP), a non-profit organization based in Islamabad, seeks services of a qualified PHP Developer initially for Six months who will be responsible for the development of different web-based and data driven applications on different platforms. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

Design and develop data driven dashboards and database applications
Provide database administration and support for MySQL/ PostgreSQL
Provide software/database programming for assigned projects including but not limited to PHP, Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
Create data visualizations in the form of graphs and maps using high-charts and high-maps
Develop custom reports, data analytics and data science related applications
Perform system testing; assist in preparing documentation, including user guides, procedures, and technical documentation
Configure hosting of the applications on different platforms and upgrade versions of PHP
Provide technical support and troubleshoot any issues
Ensure data security and keep periodic backups of the data
Perform software package evaluations and recommendations
Other responsibilities as needed

Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Master degree in Computer Science or similar disciplines
Minimum 5 years of relevant demonstrable experience
Proficient in developing both front-end and back-end database
Excellent programming skills in html, JavaScript, PHP, and Python
Excellent command on MYSQL / PostgreSQL
Experience in integrating third-party extensions like high-charts and High-maps
Proficiency in configuring hosting of the web-based applications with SSL on Linux servers
Proven experience in creating responsive and interactive web-based applications, multimedia platforms, cross-browser, and cross-device development
Good to have custom development experience with Microsoft SharePoint
