Programmer Girls School is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pre-Primary Teacher to become a valued member of our early years educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a warm and stimulating learning environment that nurtures young learners curiosity, creativity, confidence, and foundational skills. This role focuses on supporting children's early development through thoughtful lesson planning, play-based learning, and observational assessment to prepare students effectively for future academic success. The teacher will be responsible for guiding childrens growth in language, numeracy, motor skills, and social-emotional learning while maintaining a safe and positive classroom atmosphere. The Pre-Primary Teacher drives daily classroom instruction by delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons tailored for early learners. The position involves actively monitoring each childs progress, identifying developmental needs, and providing individualized support to ensure every student thrives. The teacher collaborates professionally with parents, colleagues, and school leadership and participates actively in school activities and ongoing professional growth. Although this role does not involve managing a team, it requires strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills to create an inclusive, disciplined, and nurturing educational setting that promotes holistic child development.
Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and deliver age-appropriate lessons and educational activities tailored for pre-primary students, incorporating play-based and interactive teaching methods.
  • Support childrens development across key early learning domains including language and literacy, numeracy, motor skills, and social-emotional growth.
  • Prepare clear daily lesson plans, engaging learning activities, and simple assessments to track student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.
  • Observe, monitor, and document each childs behavior, learning progress, and developmental milestones to identify individual needs and tailor support.
  • Identify children requiring additional assistance and provide thoughtful guidance or recommend interventions to support their development.
  • Maintain a safe, positive, nurturing, and well-organized classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, confidence, and constructive classroom behavior.
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are followed rigorously to provide a secure learning space conducive to young childrens well-being.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of attendance, assessments, developmental observations, and student progress for reporting and review purposes.
  • Communicate consistently and professionally with parents to share insights about their childs learning journey, progress, and areas of focus.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and school management through active participation in meetings, school events, and professional development workshops.
  • Foster an inclusive, respectful, and engaging classroom atmosphere where every child feels valued and motivated to learn.
