General Objectives
Providing support to the Project Coordinator (PC) in the management of security for staff, patients, and activities, ensuring smooth relations with authorities, and contributing to context analysis and follow-up according to MSF protocols.
Main Responsibilities:
- Represent MSF externally together with the PC and negotiate on behalf of the project coordination.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key issues and risks to the PC. Provide reporting on contextual information through a sound knowledge of counterparts, parties, actors, authorities.
- Ensure the continuity of relations/networking with stakeholders (other NGOs, UN agencies, authorities, administrations, media, etc.).
- Maintain the security database and participate in the development of security plans.
- File and update contacts and correspondence. Write meeting minutes.
- Translate and review documents. Act as an interpreter when needed.
- Draft correspondences to authorities and counterparts for the PC.
- Take part in exploration or emergency response missions and assessments as needed.
- Organize advocacy contacts and appointments for the PC.
- Prepare and conduct context, cultural, and security briefings to new employees.
- Assist in safeguarding and promoting MSF’s image internally and externally.
- Assist the PC in internal and external communication sessions and events about MSF.
- Remain available outside of regular working hours for any emergency.
