The Project Officer (PPS-8) will be instrumental in supporting the successful execution of project activities through careful planning, coordination, and timely follow-up. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this role involves managing routine project tasks, ensuring targets are met, and contributing to both immediate and long-term objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational abilities, thrive under pressure, and collaborate effectively across different organizational levels to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and coordinate various project activities to guarantee timely completion of assigned tasks. Support overall project management by performing routine duties that facilitate smooth operations. Assist in achieving set targets and help implement both short-term and long-range project goals. Monitor ongoing activities closely and prepare comprehensive progress reports for management review. Draft advertisements, Expressions of Interest (EOIs), and tenders, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure their proper publication. Support the evaluation process of bids and proposals by ensuring all documentation is complete and properly filed. Conduct milestone reviews with senior management to assess project progress and address any issues. Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support project objectives.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 16 years of education from an HEC-recognized university in fields such as Management Sciences, Human Resource, Business Administration, Computer Sciences, or Information Technology is required. Candidates must have at least four years of post-qualification experience in Human Resource Development, project management, or capacity development projects. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office applications, including advanced skills in MS Excel, is mandatory. The role demands solid interpersonal skills to foster collaboration at all organizational levels. A good understanding of ISO standards and familiarity with the Pakistan IT industry are also important. Additionally, candidates should be well-versed in office productivity tools, internet usage, and email applications.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
Preference will be given to candidates with experience working on Public Sector Development Program (PSDP), Annual Development Program (ADP), or other government projects. Flexibility and a strong team-oriented mindset are crucial for success in this position. The maximum age limit for applicants is 45 years.
