Recruit AI is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to join a cutting-edge global fintech technology initiative centered on payment platforms, digital wallets, partner integrations, and scalable financial technology frameworks. This role demands an experienced software engineer with a strong background in building secure, high-performance backend systems, payment APIs, distributed systems, and reusable integration frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess over five years of software engineering experience, specializing in Java and Spring Boot, and will thrive in a dynamic environment working on globally distributed, multi-currency, and multi-tenant platforms. In this position, the engineer plays a pivotal role in designing and developing scalable backend services, constructing APIs and SDKs, and implementing robust payment gateway integrations. The role involves collaborating with international product, engineering, and partner teams to support production deployments, ongoing monitoring, and continuous performance improvements. The engineer ensures that all systems adhere to strict security standards, including OAuth2 and OpenID Connect protocols, and aligns with industry regulations pertinent to the fintech sector. This position requires technical expertise in microservices architecture, cloud platforms, containerization with Kubernetes and Docker, CI/CD pipelines, messaging systems like Kafka, and deep familiarity with fintech payment ecosystems and compliance requirements. The candidate will contribute by developing high-availability systems that guarantee transaction reliability and security across diverse global markets.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services tailored for fintech and payment platforms that support multi-country, multi-currency, and multi-tenant architectures.
Develop and implement APIs, SDKs, integration components, and reusable developer frameworks to enable seamless partner and ecosystem integrations.
Build and maintain payment gateway and digital wallet integrations, ensuring reliable real-time transaction processing, reconciliation, and settlement.
Architect and optimize distributed systems to deliver high availability, fault tolerance, and transactional consistency across global infrastructures.
Implement and enforce secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and other security protocols, ensuring compliance with fintech regulatory standards and PCI requirements.
Collaborate closely with international product, engineering, and partner teams to align technical solutions with business goals, roadmap priorities, and partner requirements.
Lead production deployment efforts, monitoring system health, performance tuning, and incident resolution to maintain platform stability and reliability.
Design and optimize database schemas and queries to support efficient data storage, retrieval, and transactional throughput in distributed environments.
Manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable delivery of software updates.
Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes to support scalable and resilient infrastructure.
Integrate messaging systems, including Kafka, to support event-driven architectures and asynchronous communication flows.
Stay updated with emerging fintech trends, security threats, and regulatory changes, proactively adapting platform features to meet evolving requirements.
