The Junior Lecturer does not manage a team but plays a vital role in collaborating with faculty members and participating in academic committees. The position requires staying updated with emerging trends in software engineering and security domains and contributing to the continuous improvement of the curriculum. The candidate must exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse student groups while fostering an engaging and supportive educational environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and practical sessions in Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Security, or Computer Science as per the curriculum requirements.
- Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and assessments to ensure alignment with current industry standards and academic guidelines.
- Support and mentor students through academic advising, office hours, and feedback on coursework to enhance their understanding and performance.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and continuous improvement initiatives to contribute to the overall development of the academic programs.
- Engage in scholarly activities such as research, publications, and attending conferences to stay current with advancements in software engineering and security fields.
- Collaborate with industry partners and internal stakeholders to incorporate practical perspectives and emerging technologies into teaching strategies.
- Assist in the evaluation and grading of student assignments, projects, and examinations with fairness and transparency.
- Maintain accurate academic records and prepare required reports for departmental and university review.
- Implement innovative teaching methods and tools to foster interactive learning and accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Adhere to university policies, academic integrity standards, and ethical guidelines while performing teaching and administrative tasks.
