As a Sublimation Designer, you will play a pivotal role in creating and designing visually appealing and high-quality graphics that are to be transferred onto various substrates using the sublimation printing process. Your creativity and attention to detail will contribute to the production of personalized and custom products. You will collaborate closely with the design and production team, to bring their visions to life through the sublimation process.
Responsibilities:
Graphic Design:
- Develop original and innovative designs suitable for sublimation printing, keeping in mind the constraints and opportunities of the sublimation process. This includes selecting appropriate colors, patterns, and images that align with client requirements and trends.
Artwork Preparation:
- Adapt and optimize designs for sublimation printing, ensuring proper sizing, resolution, and color accuracy for various substrates. Prepare print-ready files using design software (e.g., Coral Draw, AI, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
Collaboration:
- Work closely with production staff to understand project requirements, provide design recommendations, and ensure that the final product meets expectations.
Trend Analysis:
- Stay up-to-date with current design trends, color palettes, and market preferences to create visually appealing and relevant designs that resonate with target audiences.
Prototyping:
- Create prototypes and mock-ups of sublimated products to showcase design concepts and obtain client approvals before mass production.
Quality Control:
- Inspect printed products to ensure that colors, patterns, and overall print quality meet the desired standards. Make adjustments as needed to achieve the best results.
Communication:
- Effectively communicate design ideas, concepts, and progress to team members, the production team.
Workflow Management:
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and prioritizing tasks to ensure timely completion of projects.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of sublimation printing equipment, ensuring that it is clean, calibrated, and in optimal working condition.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements, such as refining design templates, streamlining workflows, and exploring new substrates or techniques.
