Purchase Officer

Saab Moulded Furniture is seeking a diligent Purchase Officer to oversee the procurement processes and supplier interactions within the company. This role involves handling purchasing activities and managing relationships with vendors to ensure the acquisition of materials and products meets quality and budget requirements. The Purchase Officer is responsible for maintaining an efficient purchasing cycle, ensuring timely availability of goods necessary for operations, and optimizing costs. This position requires a candidate with at least two years of relevant experience and a sharp, healthy mindset committed to long-term career growth. The Purchase Officer will also lead a small team of two members, guiding and coordinating their activities to meet procurement goals. Strong negotiation skills and proficiency in purchase order management are essential for success in this role. The officer must foster clear communication among suppliers, manage supplier evaluations, and assist in formulating procurement strategies aligned with company objectives. This position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to plan and forecast procurement needs effectively.
Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end purchasing process including sourcing, selecting, and procuring products and materials.
Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to optimize costs and delivery schedules.
Create, monitor, and manage purchase orders ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for continuous improvement in quality and service.
Coordinate with the finance and inventory departments to align procurement with stock levels and budget constraints.
Supervise and support a team of two personnel, providing guidance, feedback, and training to enhance team performance.
Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities and risks in procurement.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all procurement activities for audit and reporting purposes.
Implement procurement strategies and policies that support the companys operational and financial goals.
Assist in long-term procurement planning to anticipate future material and supply requirements.
Maintain a sharp and focused approach to problem-solving within procurement challenges.
