Saleem Fabrics seeks a meticulous and responsible Accountant and Cashier to oversee daily cash transactions, sales documentation, Point of Sale system operations, and fundamental accounting duties. The selected candidate demonstrates strong numerical aptitude, keen attention to detail, and professionalism in customer interactions. This role demands accuracy in handling financial data to ensure seamless retail operations and trustworthy accounting practices. This position involves supervision of a small team comprising two members, requiring leadership skills to manage daily responsibilities effectively. The role is crucial in maintaining precise cash reconciliations and sales records, coordinating with management for financial reporting, and supporting bookkeeping efforts to maintain the integrity of financial data within the company.
Responsibilities

Manage daily cash receipts, disburse payments, and perform cash reconciliation to ensure accuracy and accountability.
Operate and maintain the Point of Sale system to handle customer transactions efficiently.
Accurately maintain sales ledgers and daily sales records, ensuring all transactions are logged correctly.
Prepare and organize invoices, receipts, and payment documentation with attention to detail.
Record all cash and credit transactions accurately on a daily basis to maintain financial accuracy.
Conduct end-of-day reconciliation of cash, Point of Sale transactions, and overall sales data to match records.
Monitor and safeguard proper documentation associated with all financial transactions to comply with company policies.
Coordinate with senior management by providing accurate and timely daily sales and cash reports for decision-making.
Respond professionally to customer billing inquiries and resolve payment-related questions or concerns.
Support basic accounting and bookkeeping functions, assisting in maintaining balanced financial records.
Ensure confidentiality and integrity in managing financial information and sensitive company data.
Lead a team of two personnel, providing guidance and monitoring daily activities to achieve operational goals within the retail environment.
