The Senior Officer will play a critical role in auditing various departmental activities to ensure compliance with established plans, policies, and procedures as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and management directives. This position requires preparing detailed audit reports, recommending improvements, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct. The incumbent will work closely with multiple departments to review internal controls, monitor audit progress, and support the continuous enhancement of organizational processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough audits of departmental activities to verify adherence to SOPs and internal policies.
- Review the effectiveness of internal control systems and ensure compliance with departmental guidelines.
- Manage the audit lifecycle, including timely initiation, execution, and completion of audits, along with submission of draft reports, preparation of working papers, and finalization of audit findings.
- Monitor and ensure departments implement recommendations from prior audit reports, following up regularly to track progress.
- Collaborate with various departments to foster strong working relationships and build trust.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on operational audits as assigned by the supervisor.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing within the Internal Audit Department by delivering presentations, conducting workshops, and providing guidance as needed.
- Maintain ongoing communication with departments to strengthen professional relationships and support audit activities.
- Assist the supervisor in achieving departmental goals and objectives through continuous support and execution of assigned tasks.
- Undertake special assignments as directed by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in auditing or a related field, with a strong understanding of internal controls and compliance.
- Ability to prepare detailed audit documentation and reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with multiple departments.
- Commitment to professional ethics and adherence to established codes of conduct.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple audits and follow-ups simultaneously.
- Proficiency in preparing presentations and conducting training sessions within the audit function.
