This position requires strong technical expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and hands-on experience with IT service management tools to ensure efficient ticket resolution and service delivery. As an IT Technician at Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, you will be responsible for device imaging and deployment throughout the campus, ensuring all computing equipment meets required standards and operates smoothly. The role does not involve managing a team but requires working collaboratively with various departments to maintain a reliable IT environment. Proficiency in implementing IT best practices and maintaining detailed documentation is essential for success in this role, as is a dedication to providing excellent end-user support in a fast-paced educational setting.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough hardware and software troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.
Provide expert support for Windows operating systems including installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.
Support and maintain networking components, including wired and wireless configurations, to ensure consistent and secure connectivity across the university.
Administer user accounts and permissions using Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID to maintain secure and organized user access.
Manage Microsoft 365 administration tasks such as account provisioning, license management, and troubleshooting user issues related to email, collaboration tools, and cloud services.
Utilize IT service management and ticketing systems to document, prioritize, and resolve support requests efficiently while maintaining high service quality standards.
Carry out device imaging and deployment processes for new and replacement computers, ensuring they are configured according to institutional policies and security guidelines.
Collaborate with IT colleagues and university staff to identify areas for improvement in IT processes and infrastructure.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, manuals, and procedures to support ongoing IT operations and training efforts.
Ensure compliance with campus IT policies, security protocols, and best practices to safeguard university data and technology assets.
