Sigma is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Store Keeper to manage and oversee inventory and stock control within the warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in warehouse operations with a strong capability in inventory management, stock control, and logistics coordination. This role involves receiving, storing, and dispatching materials efficiently while ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety standards. The Store Keeper will monitor stock levels, conduct quality inspections, and maintain detailed records using inventory management and warehouse management systems.
The Store Keeper plays a vital role in supporting operational efficiency by coordinating order processing and material handling with precision. While this position does not involve managing a team, it requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to maintain accurate documentation. Adherence to safety compliance and proactive reporting of anomalies is essential to maintain a secure and well-organized warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels are maintained and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials according to company standards and safety regulations.
- Coordinate the preparation and dispatch of orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Maintain detailed records of stock movements, transactions, and inventory adjustments using Warehouse Management Systems and Inventory Management Software.
- Perform regular stock counts and quality inspections to ensure material integrity and compliance with quality standards.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with logistics and procurement teams to forecast inventory needs and optimize stock levels.
- Report inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or safety concerns to management for prompt resolution.
- Assist in implementing and improving warehouse processes and Inventory Management Systems to increase operational efficiency.
