The Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination, Government of Pakistan, is seeking a qualified and motivated Social Media Manager to join their team. This role is designed for a dynamic individual who can effectively manage and enhance the Ministry’s social media presence, engaging with the public and stakeholders to promote environmental initiatives and climate change awareness. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies that align with the Ministry’s goals, ensuring consistent and impactful communication across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and manage the Ministry’s social media strategy to increase visibility and engagement.
- Create, curate, and publish high-quality content tailored to different social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and public sentiment related to climate change and environmental issues.
- Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and foster a positive online community.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align messaging and campaigns.
- Analyze social media metrics and prepare regular reports to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and suggest improvements.
- Stay updated on the latest social media tools, trends, and best practices to ensure the Ministry’s online presence remains current and impactful.
- Support crisis communication and manage sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
- Proven experience in social media management, preferably within government or environmental sectors.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and content management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu.
- Ability to create engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with climate change and environmental issues is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
