Softnix Solutions seeks a dependable and disciplined Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate excels in managing financial records with accuracy and consistency, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently within deadlines. The Accountant supports daily accounting operations and contributes to the overall financial health of the company. They utilize call center skills to effectively communicate with clients and internal stakeholders, facilitating smooth financial interactions and resolving any accounting inquiries promptly. This position does not include team management responsibilities, focusing instead on individual contributions to financial reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, examine, and analyze financial records, statements, and reports for accuracy and compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Maintain general ledger by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts regularly to ensure financial data integrity.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, payments, and collections timely and correctly.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning with supporting data and analyses.
- Ensure all financial transactions are documented and organized to facilitate auditing and reporting processes.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
- Support tax preparation activities by collecting and organizing necessary documentation and ensuring timely submissions.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to clarify any financial uncertainties or issues using strong call center skills.
- Implement and maintain controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial procedures.
- Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing requested data and explanations.
- Stay informed about current accounting laws, regulations, and practices to maintain compliance and recommend improvements.
- Work independently to meet deadlines while managing multiple accounting tasks simultaneously.
