Fashion Designer

In this role, the Fashion Designer focuses on concept and collection development by creating mood boards, color palettes, and theme concepts that reflect the brands identity. They will produce technical packs and detailed spec sheets to assist production teams, source and test materials according to quality and price standards, and direct pattern making and sample fitting processes. Monitoring global and local fashion trends and consumer behaviors is key to keeping product lines competitive and fresh. The candidate collaborates with vendors, print houses, and sampling units to ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of designs. This position requires a Bachelor or Master of Design in Fashion Design from the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design and at least two years of professional experience in couture, luxury prt, or high-street retail fashion design.
Responsibilities

Develop seasonal collections by translating brand aesthetics into creative and innovative designs, including mood boards, color schemes, and thematic concepts.
Produce and deliver comprehensive technical flat sketches, detailed spec sheets, and complete technical packs that guide the production process effectively.
Select, test, and source suitable fabrics, trims, embellishments, and treatments that meet quality standards and align with target price points.
Lead and oversee master pattern making, draping, and initial sampling, conducting fit sessions with sample makers and tailors to refine garment silhouettes and construction.
Monitor and analyze local and global fashion trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products to maintain collection relevance and market readiness.
Collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors including production units, print houses, and samplers to ensure design accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.
Exhibit expert knowledge of garment construction methods, fabric properties, embroidery techniques, dyeing processes, and pattern engineering throughout the design lifecycle.
Manage time effectively and maintain meticulous attention to detail to meet challenging deadlines and quality expectations.
Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and CLO 3D/CAD tools to create detailed digital designs and tech packs.
Communicate design concepts and technical details clearly and effectively across departments to facilitate smooth product development.
