The TAQ Organization is seeking an Assistant Manager Sea Freight Export to oversee the full cycle of sea freight export operations. This role involves managing sea freight export shipments from initiation to completion, ensuring efficient coordination with shipping lines, suppliers, and foreign agents. The ideal candidate leads a team of four and handles all facets of carrier bookings, CRO issuance, and SI submissions while maintaining adherence to Standard Operating Procedures. This position demands a proactive approach to manage the SFE nominated business, ensuring timely shipment execution with minimal disruptions and customer complaints. In addition to operational management, the Assistant Manager Sea Freight Export monitors team performance and key operational indicators to optimize workflow and deliver excellent service. The role requires meticulous attention to export documentation, customs compliance, and international shipping regulations to guarantee smooth logistics planning and execution. The successful candidate must possess strong skills in vendor relationship management and freight management software to enhance supply chain coordination and customer relationship management.
Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end sea freight export shipments, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Coordinate effectively with shipping lines, suppliers, foreign agents, and internal stakeholders to guarantee smooth shipment processes.
  • Handle carrier bookings, ensure accurate issuance of CRO (Cargo Release Order), and submit SIs (Shipping Instructions) promptly.
  • Maintain strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and export regulations.
  • Lead and supervise a team of four personnel, monitoring operational key performance indicators and driving continuous improvements.
  • Manage the SFE (Sea Freight Export) nominated business to maximize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize cargo booking software and freight booking systems to optimize freight forwarding and logistics planning.
  • Ensure that export documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with applicable customs and international shipping regulations.
  • Coordinate supply chain activities with vendors and service providers to maintain seamless logistics flow.
  • Resolve customer complaints effectively and proactively to maintain strong relationships and high service standards.
  • Implement and leverage freight management software tools to streamline processes and track shipments accurately.
  • Support vendor relationship management to ensure reliable service delivery and timely cargo movements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of import/export regulations and industry best practices to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
