Nutrition / Health Officer (Emergency Response)

Disclaimer: The position is advertised for emergency roster pool generation only.

• Shortlisted candidates will be kept in the pool and will be contacted for the role in case of any emergency project.

Position Objective

• Lead-in  the  implementation of Nutrition and Health interventions in conformity with the  Action Against Hunger standards, international standards and national policies; ensuring the technical quality and relevance of the interventions.

Mission 1: Provide technical leadership and ensure effective implementation of Nutrition and Health Components

•  Oversee the Nutrition and Health interventions in Emergency Response Project operations in the target areas.
•  Timely update the detailed implementation/ work plan.
• Assist in overseeing the management of program, HR, Finances, and Logistics in project target districts.
• Ensure delivery of high quality, effective and accountable Nutrition and Health program implementation, programmatic and operational matters 
•  Ensure program compliance with quality and accountability international standards.

Mission 2: Effective Team Management and Networking:

• Represent and liaise at field and stakeholder management at provincial/district level
• Ensure effective reporting and communication in accordance with the HQ and donor reporting requirements and standards.
• Maintain the effective link between Islamabad Country office and field base.

Mission 3: Project Monitoring, Archiving, and Reporting:

• Ensure continuous monitoring of the project's progress to ensure that the project systems are working to achieve specific objectives and results.
• Maintain ACF accountability standards.
• Ensure that all of the project data related to Nutrition and Health is timely and efficiently archived during at end of the project period as per ACF SOPs.
• Ensure preparation of periodic reporting and facilitating end-of-project reports as required.
• Work to ensure that all reports are accurate, comprehensive, well documented, and timely submitted to ensure the credibility of the project.

Mission 5: Ensure timely procurements:

• Ensure timely procurements of services for Nutrition and Health interventions
• Have excellent coordination with the Logistic department.
• Ensure timely payments to all vendors.

 Mission 6: Proactively support ACFs commitments to gender equality and child protection sensitivity

• Read and ensure a full understanding and promotion of ACFs Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies
• Implement all work-related activities with a gender, inclusion, and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns, and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries
• Ensure and encourage the incorporation of gender equity principles in all policies and activities
• Help build an inclusive office an environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.

 Skills and resources needed to perform the function

• Strong project management skills
• Substantial experience in integrated emergency response programs and managing partners
• Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills
• Able to analyze and summarize complex technical  and contextual information
• Fluent in English, reading writing and speaking.
• Fluency in local language of the program implementation area will be preferred
• Excellent computer skills
• Team management skills
• Ability to handle stress and pressure
• Master's Degree in Public Health or relevant field.
• Minimum 03 years of overall experience with 02 years in relevant field in the development sector
