The Finance Manager is responsible for all aspects of financial control and reporting, and will serve as the main link between the accounting/finance department and senior management. The Finance Manager will analyze accounting data to find ways to improve underperforming areas within the company to create efficiencies and reduce costs to maximize working capital for business growth. He/she will oversee financial reports in compliance with industry legislation and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory and tax guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Record daily entries on the digital ledger in a timely manner
- Prepare and interpret monthly management accounts and annual reports
- Implement financial plans and short term and long term investment goals
- Assess and manage risks
- Reconcile balance sheets
- Manage budgets
- Monitor cash flow statements and predict future trends
- Liaise with service providers, debtors and vendors to troubleshoot any issues
- Evaluate and suggest opportunities for cost-reduction
- Responsible for the annual audit of all company's accounts
- Maintain relationships with clients to ensure timely payments
- Conduct investigations into any incongruities in accounts
- Supervise staff
- Keep abreast of changes in financial and tax regulations and legislation
- Ensure that all transactional, payroll and VAT/ taxation requirements are met
- Generate and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial reviews for presentation to the CEO
The Successful Candidate must be a "Chartered Accountant with at least 3-4 years of experience in a financial management post in a challenging environment ."
Required Skills are:
- Unbiased approach vested in honesty, ethics and compliance with local laws and regulations
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Possess strong accounting experience, some tax knowledge desirable
- Knowledge of Accounting Software (knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus)
- Strong and persuasive communication skills in English and Urdu
- Strong English writing skills to maintain effective communication via email
- Excellent eye for detail, diligent knowledge of accounting regulations
- Ability to report effectively to senior managers
- Self motivated and willingness to work in erratic schedules when required
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Excellent commercial flair and industry experience
Certifications: ACCA, CA, CFA
