PURPOSE: The System Administrator maintains and performs project work within a MS Dynamics Great Plains (GP) environment. This individual troubleshoots production issues and follows an iterative SDLC process for implementing changes/enhancements. Provide system administration and support to the Finance Department and supervise assigned functions within the department. This classification is responsible for assessing the effectiveness of software systems functions, researching and testing new features and functions, and serving as the Finance Department point person for system implementations and upgrades. This classification also supervises assigned functions such as payroll and accounts payable
FUNCTIONAL AREAS:
Administer, develop and support Microsoft Dynamics GP.
Installing and configuring all aspects of the Dynamics AX ERP
Configuring and maintaining Dynamics GP administrative tasks such as (user management, configuration, Customization and deployment)
Research new system features and determine best practices for system maintenance
And usage.
Technical responsibilities including multi-tiered application support, basic AD administration and overall environment responsibility in multi-instance GP environment.
Perform Microsoft Dynamics GP Compliance Center configuration, administration, and maintenance.
Coordinate, test, troubleshoot and implement Finance Software upgrade
Create AD HOC reports and validate new and existing reports to ensure financial
Accuracy.
Management and review of security logs and table permissions framework (TPF).
Platform security areas. SQL, SSRS, SSAS, SharePoint.
Develop and maintain user procedure documentation manuals. Perform routine maintenance activities such as data reconciliations and check links. Troubleshoot Microsoft Dynamics GP user problems and aid in finding resolutions. Collaborate with other system administrators to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
Liaising with developers and clients – act as a point of communication
Work in cooperation with the rest of the IT team.
Required Experience: Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT/MIS or Computer Science 3+ years experiencing using Microsoft Dynamics GP as an admin, developer or in a technical support type role Understanding of SQL/SQL Server, SSRS, SSAS, SharePoint.
ERP experience Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well within a multi-functional team Business process analysis skills with the ability to translate requirements into solutions Excellent written and oral communication skills Experience with WMS and MRP application(s) Understanding of Dexterity Programming & Scribe Integration Tools
Essential knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Prior experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics GP.
Prior experience implementing and supporting ERP applications
Knowledge of multi-domain level infrastructures (i.e. network trusts etc…)
ERP GP full project life cycle implementations
Prior technical experience supporting multi-tiered financial applications Infrastructure architecture
Understanding of Active directory including groups, local security, policies.
Experience in ERP security implementations
Experience working with the Microsoft Dynamics AX Compliance Center tool to manage user provisioning and identify segregation of duties and sensitive access violations
Experience collaborating with auditors to demonstrate compliance with internal and external standards.
