Provide purchasing feedback & ensure prompt deliveries;
Oversee costing compilation and negotiate finalized prices and all other order related matters with designers directly;
Coordinate with samplemen & finishers to make decisions regarding product construction, materials, labeling and packaging;
Manage preparation of sample & production via design & tech packs; Ensure requirement of fabric and materials for samples and orders are communicated accurately to concerned departments;
Coordinate production and procurement to ensure required quality and on time completion of tasks;
Complete purchase transactions by following vendors for settlement of accounts; Supervise the production documentation of orders and resolve any ambiguity/conflict; Estimate and process import of accessories for sample & production orders, where applicable; Train, develop & motivate the staff under supervision
- Suggest ideas for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of production and related functions; Analyze all customer complaints and strategize to eradicate all problems proactively;
Research and plan for collection range and denim articles for all customers keeping in mind current market trends; Identify new denim articles to develop, i.e. new finishes, looks and utilizing specific raw material origin vis-a-vis cost-effectiveness;
Study enhancement of trims and accessories for denim garments either through in-house development or third-party vendors through outsourcing; Aid in planning market visit and related activities.
