Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, ensuring all concerns are addressed in a timely and confidential manner.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and disputes while documenting findings to support fair resolutions.
  • Facilitate mediation sessions between employees and management, aiming to resolve conflicts before they escalate.
  • Interpret and apply provincial and federal labor laws to ensure compliance in all employee relations activities.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports on employee relations issues, grievances, and resolutions for internal review.
  • Liaise with legal counsel to seek guidance on complex employee relations matters and to understand potential legal implications.
  • Build strong relationships with employees to foster open communication and trust within the workplace.
  • Provide training and support to management personnel on best practices for handling employee relations issues.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in labor law to ensure that the company's policies remain current and compliant.
