We are seeking a skilled and experienced Substation Engineer to join our team, focusing on the operation, maintenance, and design of 380kV Extra High Voltage (EHV) substations, as well as GIS (Gas Insulated Substations). The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in power systems, with expertise in substation operations, EHV systems, GIS technology, and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, Operation, and Maintenance:
Design, develop, and oversee the installation of 380kV Extra High Voltage substations.
Ensure proper functioning and reliability of GIS (Gas Insulated Substations) by coordinating maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting activities.
Supervise the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, busbars, and protection systems.
Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for both EHV and GIS substations.
Engineering Support:
Provide technical support for the integration of new electrical systems into the grid, ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure.
Work closely with electrical designers, consultants, and contractors to ensure that all design specifications are met and that the project is completed on time and within budget.
Protection and Control Systems:
Design, install, and maintain protection and control systems for EHV substations, ensuring proper fault detection and system reliability.
Perform regular testing of protection relays and control equipment, ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
