JOB PURPOSE

To be overall in charge/proprietor of pharmacy according to seniority. Additionally, he is to give oversight to Pharmacy operations in managerial role to get the real feel of the data being generated and assess the areas for improvement.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform administrative duties, such as purchase scheduling, budget preparation etc.

• Oversee records of all transactions of the pharmacy necessary to ensure adequate control over and accountability for all drugs as required by applicable state and federal laws, rules and regulations to meet all inspection and other requirements governing pharmacy operations  Develop and maintain pharmacy dashboards on pharmacy productivity.

• To forecast and timely respond to demands in terms of variety and quantities of medicines / supplies arising out of seasonal and other factors.

• Closely coordinate with HO departments including Pharmacy and Finance for Purchase Management, HR for payroll and employee related matters, Operations and Administration for day to day operational matters.

• Encourage professionalism, productivity, performance, and efficiency of all pharmacy staff.

• Create, maintain, update and enforce lean pharmacy standards in pharmacy workflow.

• Strive to enhance customer / patient care and satisfaction.

• Ensure timely evaluations of pharmacy staff members, including performing annual reviews for direct reports.

• Facilitate corrective and disciplinary actions of pharmacy staff. Confer with HO Pharmacy Department, Director Pharmacies, GM HR on all employee disciplinary actions.

• Coordinate pharmacy staff training (initial orientation and ongoing pharmacy team member development).Delegate assignments and committee appointments for pharmacy staff including protocols for pharmacy staff.

• Ensure proper handling of incident and/or accidents reports in an eventuality.

• Provide supervision and coaching for pharmacy managers and staff.

• Assist in creation of short and long term pharmacy strategic goals for pharmacy program development.

• Negotiate and complete pharmacy staff contracts and credentialing of pharmacies and staff members in close coordination of Ho HR team.

• Attend management team meetings, participate in the relevant committee meetings as determined by Director Pharmacies.

• Participate in development of field operation strategies.
