Job Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented Business Analyst with a background in quality assurance to support the development and implementation of software projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of business processes, and experience in software testing and QA methodologies. As a Business Analyst with QA experience, you will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and user expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, system designs, and test plans.
- Document and communicate requirements, specifications, and test cases to development teams and stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough testing of software applications, including functional testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify and document defects, issues, and deviations from requirements, and track them to resolution.
- Develop and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data sets for automated and manual testing.
- Coordinate with development teams to prioritize and resolve defects and issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in Agile or Scrum ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
- Provide regular status updates, reports, and metrics on testing progress, defect status, and QA findings.
- Collaborate with QA engineers, developers, and project managers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- 1 years of experience as a Business Analyst or QA Analyst in software development projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex business processes and technical systems.
- Knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, including manual and automated testing techniques.
- Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, HP Quality Center, or similar.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools for project management and collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in documenting requirements and testing results.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and processes.
