Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and other engineering disciplines to develop comprehensive and efficient MEP system designs that align with project objectives and client requirements.
- Utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed MEP drawings, schematics, and models, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct thorough analysis and calculations to size and select appropriate equipment, components, and materials for MEP systems, considering factors such as load calculations, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
- Prepare technical specifications, scope of work, and bid documentation for MEP components and systems, contributing to procurement processes and vendor selection.
- Lead the coordination and integration of MEP systems within the overall building design, resolving clashes and conflicts to ensure smooth installation and operation.
- Oversee and manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring that work is executed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and provide timely solutions to ensure MEP systems are installed on time and within budget.
- Perform site visits and inspections to verify that MEP installations meet design intent and quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and manage project schedules and resources for MEP engineering tasks.
- Taking accurate quantity of material required at site for ordering and ensuring supply chain for material availability.
- Keeping track of sub-contractor progress, performing site inspections and measuring of quantities for sub-contractor billings.
