Mid - Senior level (5 to 8 years of relevant exp.)

Job description

The candidate should have deep knowledge in Oracle SPARC servers and Oracle LDOM/Zones virtualization.

Also he should have very good experience in Oracle Solaris System Administration.

Pre-sales:

Propose and create design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to pre-sales and customers

Project Implementation:

Design and Implement Oracle Enterprise Server Hardware Infrastructure projects including Oracle Sparc machines, Storage, x86 Server and Engineered system.
Creating SOW for the projects and defining the prerequisites and timeline
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to Enterprise hardware configuration, processes and installation steps.
Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, installation checklists including customer reviews
Provide orientation and training to customers for all modified and newly installed infrastructure
Attend post implementation and support service requests

SLA Support:

Provide Support to Enterprise customers (Oracle SPARC, Oracle Solaris, Oracle Linux, OVM, Engineered System and HA solutions)
Update call management system with service timing, resolution steps performed
Adhere to SLA response and resolution times and ensure cases are regularly updated.
Provide Additional Support to Oracle Database Administration and application support team during Solution creation, Implementation and SLA support.
Primary Skills: Oracle SPARC system Administration
Oracle Solaris 10,11 OS Administration
Oracle SPARC Server virtualization (LDOM/Zones are preferred)
Oracle SPARC hardware
Secondary Skill set: Oracle Linux / Redhat Linux Administration
Oracle Virtualization OVM manager
Oracle Virtualization in X86 (OVM manager), Engineered Systems (Oracle Database Appliance, Exadata, Oracle Private Cloud)
Certifications: Oracle Solaris System Administration 10/11.
Linux System Administration (RHCSA/RHCSE)
Good to have: Knowledge on implementation of Oracle RAC and database creation.
Weblogic Administration
