Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
Excellent understanding of PHP back-end development is a must
Ajax is a must requirement
Excellent understanding of WordPress Database and MySQL
Good understanding of creating themes and plugins from scratch
This includes understanding the WordPress ecosystem i.e. custom post types, taxonomies, terms, custom roles
Comfortable working with debugging tools like Chrome inspector, etc.
Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
Basic understanding of server-level management
Write efficient, robust, optimized, and reusable code while adhering to WordPress coding standards.
Can work independently without direct supervision (guidance will be provided where needed)
Good communication skills
The ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages is a plus
Experience designing and developing responsive design websites is a plus
The ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers is a plus
Understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial) is a plus
