Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant with expertise in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, analyzing data, and providing accurate financial information to support informed decision-making. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in utilizing QuickBooks and Excel to streamline financial processes and enhance overall efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain financial records and transactions in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Perform daily bookkeeping activities, including recording sales, invoicing, Assets Controlling, Inventory Controls, Payments, expenses, and payroll entries.
Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, Customer Accounts, and other financial documents.
Provide support during audits and assist with internal control procedures.
Develop and maintain financial models and spreadsheets in Excel to analyze data, create reports, and support financial decision-making.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, and ensure adherence to relevant standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven work experience as an Accountant, demonstrating expertise in utilizing QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
Proficient in generating financial statements and reports using QuickBooks.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Effective communication skills to liaise with international stakeholders as we are US Based and present financial information clearly and concisely.
Experience in dealing with the finalization of Upwork accounts is a plus point.
