Require a strong technical background, excellent client and project management skills, proven ability to do hands on technical work when needed, and ability to lead projects and teams.

Successful candidates must be action oriented, capable of independently solving complex technical problems and able to communicate clearly and effectively to both technical and business audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data products using Hadoop technologies
  • Contribute to our client facing interactive data visualization solutions
  • Leverage big data analytics infrastructure comprising Hadoop, Revolution R, Visual SAS and SAS Fraud framework to solve complex business problems 
  • Build data visualizations using Gain Theory’s Toolkits, leveraging best-in-class tech solution.
  • Ensure project tasks are completed on time and within scope.
  • Motivate team members to action; identify common themes, make inferences and draw conclusions.
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to interact with senior management.

Note: Don't apply if you do not have Solid experience on Hadoop and big data Analytics 

Skill Set:

  • Hadoop ecosystem: Pig, Impala, Hive, Spark (PySpark or Scala), Oozie 
  • Experience with NoSQL Databases 
  • At least one project in large Scale analytics using databases or ELK(Elastic Search) or Hadoop or Spark
  • In Data visualization and reporting (i.e. creating visualizations and dashboards using a tool like JasperSoft or Tableau)
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python etc. 
  • Strong grasp of algorithms and data structure fundamentals.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applied statistics and machine learning methods
  • Data integration (data cleaning and maintenance)
  • Solid SQL background is must.
  • Experience in writing optimized MapReduce Code 
  • Experience working with large datasets in Hadoop (using scritps and tools like Pig/ Hive etc.)
  • Familiar with machine learning algorithms, including regression, GBM, recommendation systems, clustering, etc.
