WordPress Developer

We are looking to hire a skilled WordPress Developer to maintain a functional website of our company. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end maintenance including the management of vendor uploads, making updates to the website through elementor, managing online customer requests, content management, online order management along with other back-end website maintenance responsibilities.

We are looking for self-starters who take ownership of their work and do not require a lot of hand holding. As is the case with any start up, you will get to do a lot of different tasks and be exposed to various aspects of the business.

To ensure success as a WordPress Developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages, a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills. Ultimately, a top-class WordPress Developer can create/maintain attractive, user-friendly websites that perfectly meet the design and functionality that our website will have.

Responsibilities:

Maintaining a website front and back end including database and server integration.

Answering vendor, customer queries and any uploads done on the website.

Optimizing images uploaded by vendors onto the website.

Meeting and onboarding vendors onto the platform.

Updating the website aesthetically and adding in new features/plugins.

Conducting website performance tests.

Troubleshooting content issues.

Conducting WordPress training with the vendors on how to upload products.

Monitoring the performance of the live website.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field.

WooCommerce experience a must.

1 to 2 years work experience as a WordPress Developer.

Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, HTML5, and jQuery.

Proficient in Elementor, WP builder etc.

Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN.

Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.

Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.

Self-Starter who takes ownership of their work

Ability to project manage.

Good communication skills.

Compensation

The compensation is dependent upon the experience of the candidate. Equity in the company will also be a part of the package.
