Objective of the Programme:

AAWAZ is a 6 year cutting edge, Flagship Programme in Voice and accountability. Funded by UK Department for International Development this community and gender focused programme works with a number of eminent NGOs including the Aurat Foundation; South Asia Partnership, Pakistan (SAP-PK), the Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO) and Sungi Development Foundation. The programme aims to facilitating linkages between the State and Government of Pakistan and its citizens by creating awareness amongst the population whilst giving citizens and communities the skills to bring about change; resulting in a State and Government that is more receptive to citizens’ demands.

TORs for Programme Accountant:

The Programme Accountant will report to Senior Manager Operations, Finance and Compliance. Se/he will be specifically responsible to perform the following tasks:

Scope of Work:

§ Compilation of monthly Projections Variance Report of AAWAZ (MO, Con A and PARR).

§ Coordination with the PARR team on the under/over utilization of funds with stated reasons/justifications, based on the Projections Variance Report.

§ Preparation of monthly Consortium A Vouchers for expenses, payments and adjustments.

§ Monthly Reconciliation of Consortium A in coordination with C&A Specialists.

§ Monitoring the monthly PARR Budget and Actuals report to be in line with the budget.

§ PARR Documentation review and expense allocation to activity codes and to budget lines. Verification of this allocation sheet from the Head of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E).

§ Counter verification of M&E travel related documents (Per Diem, Advance settlements Lodging, Air Tickets, and Rentals etc.)

§ Assist & Provide direct support to the Senior Manager Operations, Finance and Compliance in Income & Sales tax matters.

· Any other task assigned by the Management.

· This post is short term ending on February 20, 2018 and based in Islamabad.

· Work experience:

· Minimum 3+ year’s experience in relevant field.

· Required Qualification:

· Masters or equivalent in relevant field.
