The Financial Coordinator’s role is to provide his/her expertise in financial planning, financial viability analysis of projects, project financing, and cost-benefit analysis and investment appraisals focused on the assigned project/responsibility.

This position exhibits extensive experience in financial analysis and sound knowledge of financial models. An accomplished Coordinator in Finance will be someone whose expertise results in optimized financial performance and the realization of business goals.

1.     Core Areas of Responsibilities

Technical Inputs

  • Conducts financial viability analysis and develops reports for proposed developments.
  • Prepares possible financing methods and options to realize projects.
  • Prepare budgets for new projects & Proposals.
  • Responsible for budget modification and amendment in proposals as well as in Financial system.0
  • Prepares quality project technical reports for submission to the Client.
  • Undertakes the specific tasks from the TOR that are applicable to financial experts.
  • Undertakes activities to support financial Investment analysis and financial appraisals of projects.
  • Ensure that the project accounting is in accordance with internal (Welthungerhilfe) & and external (donor) rules & and regulations.
  • Advise and support project field staff in all finance-related matters.
  • Check funds at the bank and arrange for fund transfer from the WHH Office.
  • Check requests for funds before realization and sign the money withdrawal form.
  • Check tax adjustment statement.
  • Check annual account documents in cooperation with the Head of Finance.
  • Check salary payments for local staff.
  • Provide necessary reports for internal controlling (Funds Pro cost control) to the Head of Finance or at any time on request of the Head of the Project.
  •  Organize & and supervise project audits.
  • Review budget amendments including budget amendments in Funds Pro.
  • Preparation of audit documents and provide assistance to external/internal auditors for all audits of projects.
  • Ensure archiving of all financial records as per WHH and donor requirements

 Management

  • Supervise cashier for daily cash flow & and Funds Pro cashbook entering.
  • Supervise cashier and verify booking and voucher check by a cashier (sample check of correctness of vouchers, including supporting documents (validity, completeness, accuracy).
  • Monitor expenditures/costs (cost type and cost category) with regard to the budget.
  • Supervise and assist the finance officer in taking care of assigned project partner organization’s finance administration (check funds requests, financial reports & audit reports & and submit the same to the superior
  • Responsible for timely closing of cash books, monthly closing of cash, and other cash function compliance as per WHH Finance Manual.
  • Responsible for timely closing of bank books, monthly closing of banks, and other banking compliances as per WHH Finance Manual.
  • Maintenance of all records and files related to the project’s accounting & and finances.
  • Review all donor financial reports.

 Compliance

  • Report immediately all problems involving finance & and regulations to the Head of Projects and Head of Finance.

 Coordination

  • Develops and manages good and effective relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in the project/program’s (annual/monthly) financial planning of the project.

 Partnership

  • Undertakes activities to build the capacity of the staff identified by the partner through coaching and mentoring.

 Others

  • The supervisor can assign duties that may not be mentioned in the job description as per the case scenario, and that are in line with the scope of the position.
  • Provision of technical assistance or support to or from Region/HQ-level upon request
  • Representation of welthungerhilfe\\'s work
  • Provide assistance during field visits, hosting conferences/events, etc.

 Knowledge and Qualification

  • A university degree in any relevant discipline.
  • 5 to 8 years\\' professional experience working in the relevant sector.
  • Working experience with a partnership approach.
  • Fluent in English, and Urdu (written and oral), Good knowledge of local language(s) would be an added value.

  Computer Skills

  • MS Office [Word, Excel].
  • MS Office 365
  • MS PowerPoint for general and Project Presentations.
  • Ability to learn any WHH Recommended/in-use Project Management Software.
