Role profile:

Reporting to the Director, the overall purpose of the position is to contribute to the attainment of the overall Foundation’s strategic business and objectives through effective leadership and management of the HR functions.

The role will lead the overall HR function for DOPASI Foundation, developing HR Services from an operational and strategic perspective. The incumbent will coordinate HR operations, ensuring that the HR function is aligned with the DOPASI Foundation business and deliver sound and cost-effective people management practices through continuous improvement and prioritization. The position holder will provide practical, consistent, and proactive support, direction, and advice to the Managers and all staff on HR policies, systems procedures, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Recruitment, advertisement, CV screening, and shortlisting applicants for interviews and go through the Selection process.
  • Offer jobs to final selected applicants and write down their contracts either permanent or project-based.
  • Conduct a session of orientation and socialization for New Comers with organization policies, norms, values, and work setup.
  • Deliver well-equipped and activity-based presentations on teamwork and capacity building during the project orientation phase.
  • Responsible to arrange meetings with project-based staff and observe their performance, receive feedback and resolve conflicts if it has arisen during the project phase.
  • Ensure effective productivity of employees and use motivational tools to increase their productivity.
  • Evaluate staff performance through a performance evaluation checklist at the end of the year/project to the best performer to ensure the reinforcement of the same behavior.
  • Responsible for the placement, replacement, promotion, and demotion of the staff as the result of performance evaluation with the prior discussion of the Director.
  • Responsible for incentives, bonuses, and all matters regarding salary increases or decreases of the staff.
  • Give presentations on teamwork, communication, motivation, and effective leadership to modify staff behavior and ensure their effective performance.
  • Responsible to work on performance management and appraisal process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management/ Organizational Behavior/ or related field.
  • Five years (05) of proven experience in an HR senior position, including high performance in the full range of human resource management activities (recruitment and selection, performance management, development, talent management, reward, employee relations, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • Substantial knowledge of Pakistani employment law
  • Ability to influence and persuade decisions at senior management level
  • Knowledge and understanding of HR issues related to GED (Gender, Equality and Diversity)
  • Strong commitment to DOPASI’s values with reasonable judgment to take independent decisions as well as understanding when to escalate.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and networks quickly at every level within the Office and externally.
